Creating harmony through mutual understanding

Candice has spent her entire career aiming to understand people. From the classroom to family homes, from schools to SIL houses, the thread running through every role has been the same.

A deep belief that when people feel truly understood, they do not need to use behaviour to communicate. That belief is not just professional. It is personal.
And it is the foundation everything at Amity is built on.

Professional evolution

Candice has spent her entire career working with people. From nannying and early childhood through to teaching, where a curiosity about the why behind behaviour led her to implement PBS across her classroom and wider school community. That curiosity never stopped.

It drove a Masters in Applied Behaviour Analysis, years of direct work with NDIS participants across the lifespan, leadership at Autism Queensland, and now a consultation and supervision practice that reaches practitioners and organisations across Australia.

Lived experience

Candice's understanding of neurodivergence is not just professional. She was the kid who didn't fit, who felt misunderstood and like the black sheep. Her mother's trauma history drew her into the mental health space.

Neurodivergence runs through her own family. That lived experience sits at the heart of everything Amity does.

Because the mission was never to change the person. It was always to change the world around them.

Candice has been an absolutely fantastic supervisor. She gives me the space to be myself and work in a way that feels authentic to me, while still ensuring I appropriately address all areas that need support and development.

I have felt genuinely supported, understood, and encouraged throughout the process. Candice has helped guide me professionally while also creating an environment where I feel comfortable being open, reflective, and honest. Her support has been unlike anything I have experienced before, and it has had a huge positive impact on both my confidence and practice.
